The ScorpionEXO EXO-R1 Air Helmet was designed, engineered, and tested to meet the demands of Moto GP and World Superbike racing, providing features that benefit every rider, regardless of the terrain - track, canyon, or urban wasteland. The shell ranges in size from X-Small to 3X-Large and is constructed of multi-layered TCT-U, combining fiberglass, aramid, and poly-resin to minimize weight while meeting or exceeding DOT FMVSS 218 and ECE 22.05 standards.

The helmet features an optically superior Clear MaxVision Pinlock-Ready shield that is anti-scratch coated and offers 95% UV-A and UV-B protection. An additional Dark Smoke MaxVision shield and Pinlock insert are included in the box. The EXO-R1 Air uses titanium Double D-Rings for a secure fit.

The aero-tuned ventilation system includes a Ram-Air intake and 4-port exhaust spoiler, working in conjunction with the channeled EPS to keep the rider cool. The helmet's Airfit inflation adjustment system provides user-defined fit customization for comfort and specific riding situations, from spirited canyon rides to long-distance tours. The removable and washable KwikWick interior keeps the rider cool, dry, and comfortable.

The EllipTec II quick-release shield mechanism with an integrated center lock provides a superior shield-to-gasket seal. Pinlock Tear-Off Shields and Tear-Off Film are sold separately. The helmet features an emergency quick-release cheek pad system, KwikFit 3D sculpted cheek pads to accommodate eyeglasses, and integrated reflective cheek pad piping. It also includes a breath deflector and aero skirt, as well as Comm-Ready speaker pockets for easy installation of compatible Bluetooth communication systems.

The ScorpionEXO EXO-R1 Air Helmet is available in three colorways: Matte Black, Matte Pearl White, and Gloss Black. The sizing chart is a starting guide, as head shapes vary from person to person. It is recommended to measure the circumference around your head at the temple, just above the eyebrow line, and select the closest helmet size. For the best fit, it is advised to have the helmet fitted by an authorized dealer.

In terms of safety, the EXO-R1 Air Helmet weighs approximately 1,383 grams (3.05 lbs) in a size medium and is available in 3-shell sizes for a precision fit. It is DOT FMVSS No. 218 Certified and ECE Approved, with a 5-year warranty.
