Extensive wind tunnel testing has yielded significant improvements in the J-Cruise II's ventilation performance. An extra intake hole in the upper air ventilation system has increased the air volume entering the helmet by approximately 30 percent, ensuring optimal airflow and reducing heat and moisture during the ride.
The helmet's aerodynamic design has been meticulously optimized in SHOEI's in-house wind tunnel, striking the perfect balance between airflow and silence. The compact, aerodynamic shell shape with an integrated spoiler, streamlined air intake, and exhaust vent covers have resulted in a 7 percent reduction in lift force and a 1 percent reduction in forward drag force.
The J-Cruise II's noise and wind turbulence reduction features have also been refined in SHOEI's wind tunnel. The aerodynamic shell shape and an all-new, airtight window beading provide a wind and waterproof seal, while the integrated air dam reduces unwanted wind turbulence inside the shield, contributing to a quieter riding experience.
The CJ-2 shield and base plate offer a massive field of vision and protect riders from 99 percent of the sun's damaging UV rays. The shield is Pinlock EVO Ready (lens sold separately) and designed for smooth and easy changes. The built-in QSV-2 sun shield is 5mm longer, providing improved, instant relief from sun glare with a single quick motion.
The helmet's Multi-Ply Matrix AIM shell is a proprietary technology that integrates a multi-ply matrix specifically designed to meet DOT standards, with the forehead area raised for the internal sun shield. The 3D Max-Dry Interior System is fully removable, washable, replaceable, and adjustable, providing advanced comfort and safety.
