The aerodynamic properties of this helmet have been maximized through extensive wind tunnel testing and feedback from professional riders. The dual-layer EPS liner enhances both impact absorption and ventilation, while the five shell and six EPS liner sizes offer a wide range of fit options to comfortably accommodate most head sizes.

The formed air spoiler reduces drag and lift, as well as diminishing the weight pressure on the neck while riding at high speeds. The upper air intake vent is strategically positioned to maximize the air volume entering the helmet's interior, while the large lower intake vent is easy to operate and helps reduce shield fogging and increase ventilation.

The rear/neck outlets allow for effective air exhaust, and the included breath guard and chin curtain further enhance the helmet's ventilation and comfort. The high-performance fiber materials are combined with elastic organic fibers to create an ultra-lightweight, rigid, and resilient shell structure.

The 3-D center pad and multi-layered, polyurethane foam cheek pads provide a comfortable and customizable fit. The cheek pads are also replaceable or removable for maintenance, and the interior is eyeglass compatible. The neatly secured chin strap ensures a secure and comfortable fit.

The Q.R.S.A. (Quick-Release Self-Adjusting) base plate allows for tool-less shield removal and installation, and the spring-loaded base plate (U.S. patent pending 11/799935) pulls the shield back to contact the window beading evenly, ensuring a proper seal.

The CW-1 three-dimensionally curved shield is both wider and taller than the CX-1V it replaces, and the optional CWF-1 two-dimensional Pinlock-equipped racing shields with tear-off posts are available. The shield is scratch-resistant and provides 99.9 percent protection from harmful UV A & B rays.

Additionally, the optional CW-1 Pinlock-prepared shields can accommodate Pinlock Fog Free Inserts, ensuring a clear and fog-free view while riding.

Overall, this helmet is designed to offer a superior combination of aerodynamics, impact protection, ventilation, and customizable fit, all while meeting DOT FMVSS No. 218 certification standards.
